CHA SPRING HOCKEY!
I M P O R T A N T:
1) If you aren't yet on a team, be sure you register individually and that your check for $190 is received BEFORE 3/15.
2) If you are bringing your own team, make sure you register as a team and that your check for $2,450 is received BEFORE 3/15.
3) If you have a partial team (10 or more players), collect $190 from each player and make sure ALL checks are received BEFORE 3/15. The league will try to find you additional players.
WARNING: The exact number of jerseys will be ordered on 3/16. If you'd like your child to play Spring Hockey with CHA, your funds must be into CHA no later than Monday 3/15.
Last season, the CHA Spring League featured 36 teams and included over 600 area players!
The 2004 Spring League will begin in early April and conclude in early June. Season will include 12 games plus top two teams in each division make the playoffs. Once again, it will be a "bring your own team" format as well as offering individual registrations so free agents can be included. Players compete at the age level they'll play next fall. Gold and Silver divisions are planned in most categories.
AGE RANGES
All spring players MUST compete in the division they'll be playing at during fall 2004 (players may be up but not down) and all skill levels are welcome. DON'T YET HAVE A TEAM TO PLAY ON? No problem! The coordinator below is available to help place you on a team. YOU MUST REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND SEND $190 BEFORE 3/15. Also, send an email with your player's name, birthyear and prior experience to:
1989 and older = Midget | Greg Atkinson

1992-1993 = Peewee | David Friedman
1994-1995 = Squirt | Rob Johnson
1996-1997 = Mite + | Rick Johnson
1998 and younger =Minimite * | Mike Zahoran
+ CHA Mite players should register as individuals. Mite coaches have agreed to divide up even teams. * ALL Minimite registrations are individual (no matter the home club). Minimite games will feature 2-minute shifts with changes at the buzzer. They will be full ice games. Prerequisite for Minimite Spring is that players must be able to navigate around the rink while carrying a puck.

Minimites, Mite Silver, Mite Gold, Squirt Silver, Squirt Gold, Peewee Silver, Peewee Gold, Bantam Silver, Bantam Gold, Midget/JV
The S.A.S.S. (Spring Anti-Sandbagging Sub-committee) reserves the right to place teams in levels where they'll be most competitive. Eg, No major year studs playing in Silver.
OPEN TO ALL AREA PLAYERS
CHA's spring league is open to all USA Hockey registered players in the area. Players and complete teams from all area clubs are welcome to play. All games will be at the Summit Center in Chesterfield.
TEAM REGISTRATION
Team fee is $2,450 (roster up to 20 players, jerseys provided). For a team registration packet (available soon), please contact Rob Johnson, Spring Director. BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS so Rob can send you a packet. SPECIAL PRACTICE ICE DEAL ONLY FOR CHA SPRING TEAMS! Your spring team may purchase 3 hours of practice ice for $400 under a special offer only available for CHA Spring Teams. Contact Lloyd X. Ney to set this up.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION
If you're not coming in with a team, individuals may register for $190. CHA will make every effort to place individual registrations on a team! Click to access the individual registration form and liability waiver (non-USA Hockey players). Print and mail with individual applications.
DON'T BE LEFT OUT: ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MARCH 15th. This means everyone. No exceptions. No, not even for you.
